The experience begins by traveling along Provincial Route 86, where we enjoyed this incredible adventure through the landscapes of Cacheuta until we cross the tunnel that connects this town with Potrerillos. We contemplate the marvelous view of the Cordon del Platamain source of water for Mendozaand of the picturesque Potrerillos Damcrystal-clear water mirror between the mountains. We continue along this road through tunnels and bridges, until we reach the Uspallata Valley, where we make a strategic stop.
Once we continue along the route, we prepare ourselves for the highlight of the output: the Aconcagua Provincial ParkWe hiked for approximately two hours to the viewpoint of the Horcones Lagoonwhere we can see the South Wall and the summit of the highest mountain in America (6962 masl).

⚠️ Important Notice - Winter Season in High Mountains
With the arrival of the first snowfall, the usual route of the Aconcagua Experience hike is modified for safety reasons.
Aconcagua Park closed: During the winter season it is not possible to enter the Aconcagua Provincial Park, therefore it will not be possible to hike to the Laguna de los Horcones. In its place, an alternative hike will take place in the mountain area, weather conditions permitting.
LunchThe lunch will not be a box lunch, but will take place in an enclosed mountain hut in the Las Cuevas area.
Road conditionsIt is important to take into account that the itinerary may be restricted and access to all the planned points is not guaranteed, as it will depend on the regulations and controls of the National Roads and/or Gendarmerie. The excursion will take place anyway, although its duration and route will be subject to the conditions of the day.
