Early in the morning we left Mendoza City for the Villavicencio Natural Reserve. A tour that proposes to visit some sites of this exceptional protected area, with an area of 72,000 ha, and member of the Wildlife Foundation of Argentina. On board of our 4×4 units we will have the experience of living incredible panoramic views and the diversity of animals that invite us to stop to observe and take unforgettable pictures. The main protagonists of this new adventure will be them: guanacos, foxes, birds and maybe a flight of condors.
Our trip heads towards the old international road and we travel part of the Caracoles road, so called because of its many curves. Finally, after taking pictures of the gorge of Villavicencio from the height we arrive at a very important place within the ecosystem of Villavicencio: Hornillos, this area is an orchard of life, you have to be very careful, so we will not be able to get off the truck, but if we see from inside several herds of guanacos that accompany us throughout the area. Then we continue our trip to visit the Sanctuary of the Condor, used for the protection and study of this sacred species for the Gods of the mountain. Important Note: The task allows us to know the population status of the species within the protected natural areas of Mendoza, which facilitates the identification, prevention and mitigation of threats that endanger the species within the units of the network.
After finishing our new journey, we get off at the first and second Mirador de los Caracoles, which will give us wonderful postcards, and then reach our final stop: the emblematic Hotel Villavicencio, (currently operates a restaurant for you to enjoy lunch included in the tour). In the afternoon there will be time for adventure activities with our friends of Villavicencio Park, (only Andes Truck passengers have a 30% discount by paying instead: Arborism or Tyrolean traverse).
