An adventure begins towards the imposing Cerro Tronador, the highest peak of the Nahuel Huapi National Park, known for its eternal snow and hanging glaciers that give its name to the mountain. From Bariloche, the trip begins along National Route 40 South, crossing the Pampa de Huenuleo and bordering the picturesque Lake Gutiérrez. We cross the Pilmayen and Melgarejo streams until we reach the watershed, from where we continue along the western shore of Lake Mascardi until the detour that takes us to the road to the Tronador (gravel road).
Along the way, we contemplate the impressive landscape, passing by emblematic places such as the viewpoint of Isla Corazón and Cerro Los Emparedados, and then bordering the upper Manso River until we reach Pampa Linda, from where we have a privileged view of Cerro Tronador.
We continue through the valley of the Vuriloches and a shady forest until we reach the Ventisquero Negro, where our tour ends at the foot of the imposing Cerro Tronador, with its 3,454 meters above sea level and its three main peaks: International, Argentine and Chilean.
