Take in breathtaking views of the majestic Cordon del Plata and enjoy lunch in the Uco Valley, a region renowned for its distinctive climate and soil. Here, you will not only find unique vineyards, but also Argentina's leading wine producers, attracted by the exceptional terroir that has given rise to elegant, high quality wines.The exciting excursion begins at 07:30 a.m., following Route 40 to the south of the province and then Route 86 to the west to head to the village of Tupungato. Along the way, we are accompanied by the imposing Cordón del Plata, with the Tupungato Volcano (6820 meters), the highest peak of the Andean massif. Entering the Uco Valley, we observe an area of vineyards at high altitude, located at more than 1200 meters, perfect for growing fruit, potatoes and vegetables.
We will visit and taste at the Jean Bousquet Winery, followed by a tour that will include a stop at the Cristo Rey del Valle monument and the historical apple tree. The latter is the site where General San Martín rested under an apple tree after his victorious return to his homeland. Today, a monument is erected in his honor. We conclude the tour with a delicious lunch at La Juntada restaurant, before returning to Mendoza City (tasting and lunch not included).
