With so many modern wineries we often forget where the wine industry was born in Mendoza, that is why in this tour we will visit 3 old wineries in the region of Maipú, also known as the cradle of Mendoza wine.
We will pick you up at 8:30 a.m. and we will start our trip to our first visit and tasting at Benegas winery, founded by Don Tiburcio Benegas, one of the most important personalities of the American wine industry in the 19th century. We will continue to the heart of Maipú and arrive at La Rural winery. In this winery, in addition to the visit and tasting, we will also visit the renowned Wine Museum, where more than 4,500 original pieces that testify the productive cycle of the national oenology through the decades are preserved.
Lunch, consisting of three courses paired with wines, is enjoyed at the López winery. Founded in 1898 by José López Rivas, it is one of the most traditional establishments in Mendoza, with more than 120 years of history. Respectful of the cutting and aging traditions of the great wines of France and Spain, the winery has 1,100 hectares of its own vineyards, some of which date back to 1927, distributed in 12 estates located in the departments of Maipú and Luján de Cuyo.
