Discover the Malacara Volcano, located only 43 km from Malargüe, a giant of over 1800 meters above sea level. Its hydromagmatic eruptions gave shape to impressive pits, chimneys and passages up to 30 meters high. This unique landscape is the result of the explosive interaction between lava and water, shaped for centuries by wind and water erosion.
The excursion begins at the Quesada post, from where you leave by vehicle to the base of the volcano. Here begins a trekking of moderate difficulty, a two-hour tour that crosses amazing natural formations such as "Los Puentes", "Tyto Alba" and the "Cárcavas Oscuras".
The tour culminates at a lookout point with spectacular views of the Llancanelo Lagoon, the DS3 antenna, the Andes Mountains and the impressive volcanic field of La Payunia, home of the largest concentration of volcanoes in South America.
