Discover the mythical La Payunia Total Reserve, a place where geology, native fauna and imposing volcanic landscapes combine to offer you an unforgettable experience.

The tour starts in Malargüe, from where you take Route 40 towards the south, continuing along PR 186. Along the way, you will enjoy panoramic views of the majestic Malacara Volcano and the DS3 antenna. The first stop is at a traditional crianceros stand, where Doña Matilde and Humberto Sagal welcome you with a delicious homemade breakfast.

Along the way, you will explore the native fauna, spotting guanacos, choiques, piches and various birds. Then you arrive at the Mirador de los Volcanes, an ideal place to learn about volcanism and the geological history of the region.

The adventure continues in the Fortunoso oil field, where you access the tourist part of the reserve. On this tour, you will visit Pampas Negras, La Herradura Volcano, the Pyroclastic Bomb Field, Los Colores, the Wax Museum and enjoy lunch at Real del Molle.

On the way back, there is a short and exciting hike to the chipped crater of El Morado Volcano, before ending the tour in the imposing basaltic rock canyon of the Grande River, known as "La Pasarela". Finally, we return to Malargüe with unforgettable memories of a day full of nature and adventure.
