Only 30 km from Bariloche, Cerro Buitrera is home to the majestic condors. This half-day tour covers approximately 6-7 km (round trip) with an elevation gain of more than 600 meters. During the hike, visitors enter the Patagonian steppe, where they can see plains of dry vegetation, deep ravines and rock formations such as the Piedras Hongo (Mushroom Stones).
From the 1600 m summit, you can enjoy spectacular views of Lake Nahuel Huapi and surrounding hills such as Cerro Blanco and Cerro Ñireco. In this place, it is possible to see condors, whose wings can reach three meters in wingspan, and on special days, observe more than 100 condors on the walls.
