Additional information

Abandoning our modern lifestyle for an adventure requires imagination and energy. Being mentally prepared to accept the difficulties and discomforts will be the key to your success.

Includes

All meals: In our trekking, you will enjoy all meals (B: breakfast / L: lunch / D: dinner), which are carefully planned by professionals to have a balanced diet during the mountain days. All meals, which are fixed menu, are prepared by our cooks.
Confluencia Camp: During our trekking you will stay two nights in our own Confluencia Camp, which has the necessary amenities for our customers, equipped with large dining tents with electric lights, tables, benches, crockery and the friendly attention of our people.
Our guides: A qualified mountain guide is included in the services, who will be in charge of the trekking. Our mountain guides are professionals graduated from the AAGM (Argentine Association of Mountain Guides) or from the EPGAMT (School of High Mountain and Trekking Guides, tertiary career of 3 years of duration).
Communication: We have fixed points throughout the mountain, a chain that we use to stay connected via VHF radio between Plaza de Mulas, Confluencia and Puquios. We also have satellite internet for communication between the mountain and Mendoza. In this way, we can respond to any contingency almost immediately.
Sleeping tents or dome beds: Normally, Aconcagua is a mountain with good weather during its summer period. But if you have to know its stormy days, at that moment you will take dimension of the force of nature in these heights. That is why we do not hesitate to provide our trekkers with beds in dome tents or with high quality sleeping tents. The distribution in the high altitude tents is normally 2 passengers per tent, but if our guide deems it necessary, he can accommodate up to 3 passengers maximum per tent.
Cargo mules: From Puquios to Confluencia and back, your loads will be transported by mules. Each passenger is allowed to carry up to 15 kilograms on each leg. We recommend bringing a sturdy bag to cover your load when being transported by the animals. Note: 15 kilograms = 33 pounds.

Does not include

Aconcagua Park entrance permit: To enter Aconcagua Provincial Park it is essential to acquire a climbing permit. The price of the permit varies according to the season in which you enter the park (low, medium, high) and its cost is not included in the price of the expedition. Please contact our staff to know the current price according to the starting date of your expedition.
Transfer mendoza / puquios / mendoza: The transfer from the city of Mendoza to Puquios at the beginning of the trekking, as well as the return to the city of Mendoza at the end of the trekking, are not included in this program. However, if you want us to arrange your transfer, do not forget to let us know. This service has an extra cost.
Extras and beverages not mentioned in the itinerary: Those extra expenses, such as meals or beverages consumed other than those specified in the program are not included and must be paid by you.
Expenses originated by the abandonment of the planned itinerary: the itinerary is quoted with group services in order to have more and better services at a lower cost. When you abandon the itinerary for any reason (personal reasons, illness, among others), you start to have private and individual services. The extra expenses that you will have to bear are: mules or saddle mules in case you need them (a mule from Confluencia to Puquios has an approximate cost of U$D 120.-), transportation from Puquios to Mendoza city, etc. In case you are evacuated by helicopter, generally your cargo will be lowered with mules later. You will have to pay for this mule and if you do not stay in Puente del Inca to wait for the equipment you will also have to pay for the transportation of the equipment to Mendoza. Each person participating in the expedition is responsible for his or her personal equipment.
Sleeping bag and other personal equipment: Both the technical equipment and the mountain equipment that you will need during the trekking are not considered as included services, therefore you are responsible for them. Our company has guides who can advise you at the moment of selecting the material to buy or rent. In case of renting equipment, you will be responsible for it, and for returning it to the rental store at the agreed time.
Personal insurance: Personal insurance is not a fundamental requirement for this trekking. In any case, if you wish to get one taking into account the risks of the mountain, we advise you to consult an insurance company, since our company is not able to help you with this procedure.
Baggage problems (lost or delayed flight). If your baggage is lost during your flight, or arrives on a late flight, you will need to resolve this with the corresponding airline.
